Named after the first Secretary of LRC, Alexander Casamajor, who helped to found the club in 1856 and won the Stewards, Wyfolds, Goblets and Diamonds that year.

Race 56 on Thursday of Henley in 2007 saw London’s Ladies crew overcome Marine Technical University, Russia. MTU surrendered their oars to London following the race and they’ve have been in use by the Club ever since, fondly known as “The Russians”.
